Welcome To CruzinArt Ceramics
My Story
Art and sports. Those were my favorite subjects in high school - that and my boyfriend. One semester seemed to be all it took to imprint my love of ceramics that lasted the rest of my life.
40 some-odd years later, in my late 50’s, I re-discovered the passion of creating with clay.
I have turned my hobby into a full-time job – the best “job” I’ve ever had. My work is created in my home studio in Yorba Linda, in Southern California. I’ve confiscated half of the garage and left the other half for my husband - that guy who was my boyfriend in high school.
I created my studio name “CruzinArt Cermics” by combining my married name, Cruz - with my maiden name, Arter – and viola.
My Process
I use stoneware clays and glazes that are lead-free, dishwasher safe (although dishwasher detergents can be brutal on pottery), and microwave safe – the exception being anything painted with gold luster is not microwavable due to the gold content.
My pots are made using a wheel as well as hand building. I am constantly redesigning and adding to my lines of pottery.
I sell at artists and makers shows, farmer’s markets and other venues as well as online – periodically I’ll do a pop up sale at my studio.
New collection.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
